A classic Old English poem blending history, myth, and culture.

The story follows the young Geatish warrior as he confronts deadly foes, beginning with Grendel, a monstrous creature terrorizing the Danish king’s hall by preying on sleeping warriors.
This edition features a dual-text format, showcasing a fresh translation by the acclaimed translator J. G. Nichols, who has received multiple awards for his work.
