While working at the Big Sur Ranger Station, Stuart helped visitors with everything from finding campsites to choosing restaurants. On his days off, he followed his own advice, seeking out prime spots for hiking, backpacking, surfing, and snorkeling along California’s breathtaking coast.
In the process of writing this book, Stuart ventured beyond the coast, trekking through hidden parts of Yosemite National Park and discovering the beautiful Eastern Sierra town of June Lake. His adventures also took him to the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon and vibrant cities like San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles.
