Michelin Kort - Florence Streetwise Map - Laminated

Beskrivelse

Discover Florence with the 2023 revised Streetwise map, a compact and laminated guide designed for easy navigation. This pocket-sized, accordion-fold map highlights key areas of the city and includes train lines and stations for added convenience.

Your essential companion for exploring Florence’s historic and artistic treasures.

This detailed map covers several scales to suit your needs: a Main Florence map at 1:10,000, a broader Florence Area map at 1:150,000, and a Central Florence map at 1:5,700. When folded, it measures 4" x 8.5", unfolding to a generous 8.5" x 27".

Florence is best enjoyed on foot, especially since many central sites like Santa Maria Novella and the Duomo restrict car traffic to ease congestion. The city’s major attractions often lie beyond the center in neighborhoods such as Bagno a Ripoli, Fiescole, Figline, and Scandicci, allowing visitors to uncover less-visited gems.

Immerse yourself in the Renaissance spirit by exploring Florence’s stunning cathedrals, churches, museums, paintings, sculptures, and frescoes. Must-see highlights include:

• Piazza del Duomo
• The Uffizi Gallery
• Palazzo Vecchio
• Museo del Bargello
• Chiesa di San Loreno and the Medici tombs
• Galleria Palantina in Palazzo Pitti
• Museo di San Marco
• Frescoes by Ghirlandaio in Chiesa di Santa Maria Novella

The STREETWISE® Florence map comes complete with a street, site, and hotel index, empowering you to explore every hidden corner of this remarkable city and appreciate its rich history and artistic heritage at your own pace.
