A Copenhagen Miscellany brings together sixteen insightful articles on East Norse Philology, showcasing research from scholars across Europe. These studies explore medieval Swedish, Danish, and Gutnish languages and literatures through various academic lenses.

A diverse collection of scholarly works from the Third International Conference for East Norse Philology.

This volume features contributions from researchers not only in Denmark and Sweden but also Norway, Finland, Germany, Italy, and Estonia. Most pieces originated as presentations at the Third International Conference for East Norse Philology, held at the University of Copenhagen in October 2017. The book is organized into four main sections:

• Manuscript Studies
• Linguistics Studies
• ‘The twain shall meet’
• Transmission and Reception

Readers will find newly uncovered texts with editions, codicological research, linguistic challenges, and investigations into the transmission of courtly literature. The volume also covers topics such as the use of Latin, Biblical translation, the reception of Gutnish, and the connections between East and West Norse traditions. A Copenhagen Miscellany represents the third publication from Selskab for Østnordisk Filologi · Sällskap för östnordisk filologi, an organization established in Uppsala in 2013.
