Alongside these illustrations, you'll find exquisite colour reference images taken from The Naturalist's Library, a beloved Victorian series curated by the Scottish naturalist Sir William Jardine (1800-1874).
Each plate is carefully numbered and includes a key to help identify the butterfly species, making it both an artistic and educational experience.

A graduate of Loughborough College of Art and Design with a degree in illustration, Peter has contributed to a wide range of publications, including works for Penguin, Longman, Oxford University Press, and Ernst Klett in Germany.
Beyond publishing, he has worked on notable film projects like Oliver Stone's "Alexander" and regularly provides illustrations for prominent newspapers and magazines such as the Financial Times, Sunday Times, The Spectator, and Readers' Digest.
