Cold Fear

Beskrivelse

Cold Fear is the gripping standalone follow-up to the acclaimed thriller The Girl Without Skin. When journalist Matthew Cave’s half-sister vanishes, leaving a bloody clue behind, he finds himself caught in a deadly game that links them both to a dark past.

A tense thriller unraveling family secrets and a deadly military experiment in Greenland.

Matthew Cave’s search for answers begins when his half-sister disappears, leaving a trail of blood in an abandoned hut. As he digs deeper, he uncovers that both of them are pawns in a life-or-death game tied to their father’s past. Their father, Tom Cave, once a young US soldier stationed in Greenland, was involved in a secret experiment with fatal consequences.

Tom fled after being accused of double homicide, but now his case is reopened, bringing old demons back to the surface. Matt must confront the chilling question: is the father he’s been seeking all his life a cold-blooded killer? And can Matt find him before the US military does?

Helping Matt is Tupaarnaq Siegstad, a young Inuit woman who returns to Nuuk not only to assist her only friend in saving his sister but also to settle her own scores. As the tension rises, Matt begins to question whether Tupaarnaq is truly the person he believes her to be.

Translated by Charlotte Barslund, this novel was originally published in Danish as 'Kold angst'.
