In this 2025 Jack Reacher thriller, the first stop is a Baltimore coffee shop where Reacher settles into a corner seat with black coffee and two refills. A minor disturbance from a couple of patrons is easily handled, but as he leaves, a young man brushes past him in the doorway. Reacher instinctively checks his pockets-nothing is missing.
His second stop is a store to buy a coat, nothing fancy, just something large enough to fit a man built like a bank vault and easy to discard when heading somewhere warmer. While pulling out his cash, Reacher discovers a handwritten note tucked in his pocket. It’s a desperate plea for help.
Now intrigued by the message and impressed by the young man’s skill, Reacher sets out to uncover the story behind the note, ready to follow wherever the road leads.
