Hook, Line, And Sinker: A Novel

Beskrivelse

A follow-up to It Happened One Summer, this rom-com by Tessa Bailey tells the story of a charming fisherman who unexpectedly falls for his best friend while trying to help her pursue someone else.

A fun and flirty tale of friendship turning into something much more.

Fox Thornton, a king crab fisherman, is known for being a carefree flirt and a guaranteed good time both in and out of the bedroom. That is, until he meets Hannah Bellinger. Unlike the other women, Hannah isn’t swayed by his looks or charm, but she does enjoy his personality-and wants to stay just friends. Strange as it seems, Fox is happy to keep things platonic because he values their friendship too much to risk a fling.

When Hannah comes to town for work and moves into Fox’s spare bedroom, she’s well aware of his reputation as a ladies’ man. But their relationship remains strictly friendly. Hannah has her heart set on a coworker and enlists Fox’s help to improve her lackluster love life. With tips from Westport’s resident Casanova, she tries to catch the attention of the guy she likes.

However, the more time Hannah spends with Fox, the more her feelings shift. She finds herself wanting Fox instead, even though she refuses to be just another conquest. Living together should have been simple, but sharing space with her best friend-who now occupies her thoughts constantly-makes things complicated.

Fox, too, is struggling. He can’t stop imagining waking up next to Hannah every day. Helping her flirt with someone else becomes pure torture. Now he must confront his own fears and prove to Hannah that he’s serious if he wants her to choose him, hook, line, and sinker.
