Lost Danish Treasure

Beskrivelse

Ever dreamt of uncovering hidden treasure? While childhood fantasies of pirates and buried gold often fade, some adults keep the spirit alive through different kinds of quests. Lost Danish Treasure dives into such a pursuit, blending history and modern research in a captivating tale.

A fascinating journey into the history and discovery surrounding Finn Juhl's iconic Chieftain Chair.

Lost Danish Treasure weaves together two intertwined stories. The first traces the history of Finn Juhl’s legendary Chieftain Chair and a forgotten painting that came before it. The second follows a dedicated group of collectors and researchers whose personal connections to this design fuel their investigations.

Though these narratives begin in separate times and places, they gradually converge through ongoing research. Each chapter uncovers new clues, bringing the past and present closer together until a pivotal moment in the summer of 2021, when Lot 242 appeared at an auction house in Chicago. This discovery sparked a detailed analysis that revealed fresh insights into the origins and identity of the very first Chieftain Chair.
