An adventurous pursuit of the Greenland shark, revealing the sea’s wonder and danger.
Set against the remote Lofoten islands of Norway, Shark Drunk dives into the world of the Greenland shark, a giant of the deep measuring up to twenty-six feet and weighing over a ton. Known for its glowing green eyes covered in parasites, this shark is believed to mesmerize its prey. Its flesh is so toxic that eating it induces vivid hallucinations.
Morten Strøksnes and his friend Hugo embark on a daring quest in a tiny rubber boat, relying on nothing but their resourcefulness to track this mysterious creature. Their journey is not just about the chase; it’s a meditation on life’s big questions, a confrontation with nature’s extremes, and an exploration of the vibrant, hidden world beneath the ocean’s surface.
