Beskrivelse
Amane realizes at ten that she’s different from her peers, who were all born through artificial insemination and raised by parents in emotionless, sterile marriages. Her parents, however, broke the rules by falling in love, having sex, and conceiving naturally.
A thought-provoking look at love, family, and societal norms in a world where traditional bonds are forbidden.
As Amane grows older, she tries to blend in with society by forming intense attachments to anime characters and limiting herself to extramarital encounters, following the accepted customs. Despite this, she constantly wonders about the true purpose of sex and marriage. When she and her husband learn about Eden, a radical community where people are randomly chosen for mass artificial insemination-including men equipped with artificial wombs-and children are raised collectively without family ties, they decide to give it a chance. But will this daring social experiment create the new world Amane hopes for, or will it push her beyond her limits?
