We All Live Here

Beskrivelse

A lively and heartfelt story about Lila and her chaotic blended family, navigating the ups and downs of relationships, parenting, and unexpected reunions. This contemporary tale explores the messy, beautiful reality of family life.

A modern family portrait filled with humor, challenges, and surprising connections.

Step into the Kennedy household, where Lila, once the author of a bestseller on keeping marriages alive, is now grappling with her ex having moved on with another woman-someone she encounters daily at school pick-up. After her mum's passing, Bill, her stepdad, has moved in. He’s kind and old-fashioned but also tests Lila’s patience to the limit.

Lila’s eldest daughter, Celie, despises school so much she’s stopped attending, and Lila remains unaware of this. Meanwhile, nine-year-old Violet fills the house with her love for rap songs and fart jokes, and Lila hopes she never loses that spark. Adding to the household chaos is Truant, the dog who’s just bitten an unexpected visitor-Gene, Lila’s estranged father.

Gene, who abandoned Lila and her mum years ago, is far from a role model. Wherever he goes, upheaval follows, and his arrival stirs things up in ways no one anticipated. As the girls find a new friend in a man who’s always chasing happiness, even Bill begins to loosen up. Amidst the turmoil, Lila surprises herself by stepping back into the dating world.

Something is shifting in the Kennedy family dynamic-will it tear them apart or bring them closer together?
