Funny Story

Beskrivelse

Funny Story is a sparkling summer read about unexpected twists in love and the messy, beautiful aftermath of a relationship that didn’t go as planned. From the bestselling author Emily Henry, this novel explores what happens when past and present collide in the most surprising ways.

A heartfelt tale of love, friendship, and finding new beginnings in the unlikeliest places.

Daphne always cherished how Peter painted their love story, the way they met, fell for each other, and moved back to his hometown to start their life together. But it turns out their story was just the prelude to Peter’s real romance with his childhood best friend, Petra.

Now, Daphne’s next chapter begins in a small town that feels too tight, where she ends up asking Petra’s heartbroken ex, Miles, to move in with her. Just as roommates, of course-until she lands a job somewhere else.

Miles couldn’t be more different from Daphne, and their interactions are mostly awkward, until one wild, drunken night changes everything. They strike up a fragile friendship, and Miles persuades Daphne to give this charming town one last shot. He promises to show her why he’s so attached to it, and if they post a few misleading photos of their escapades, well, that’s just part of the fun.

As Daphne begins to fall for the town, she faces a tricky question: is Miles just a brief chapter in her love story with Peter, or was Peter merely a footnote in the time she fell for her ex-fiancé’s new fiancé’s ex-boyfriend?
