Holding Up The Universe

Beskrivelse

Libby Strout, once labeled 'America's Fattest Teen,' is ready to face high school and all the opportunities ahead, despite her past and personal struggles. Jack Masselin seems confident and cool, but he hides a secret that makes connecting with others difficult. When their lives intersect, everything begins to change.

A story about looking beyond appearances and finding unexpected connections.

Everyone assumes they know Libby Strout just by her weight, but no one has truly seen who she is inside. Since losing her mother, Libby has been quietly coping with her grief and her father's heartbreak at home. Now, she's prepared to embrace high school, make new friends, and open herself up to love and new possibilities.

Jack Masselin appears to have it all together with his confident attitude and ability to fit in seamlessly. Yet, he hides a secret: he struggles with face blindness, unable to recognize even his own brothers. Though he’s skilled at fixing and rebuilding things, understanding his own mind remains a mystery.

Jack’s motto is simple: stay charming, be funny, and keep people at a distance. That is, until he crosses paths with Libby. When a harsh high school prank lands them both in group counseling, their initial anger turns into something unexpected. Spending time together helps them feel less isolated, proving that sometimes, meeting the right person can change everything-for both of them.
