Beskrivelse
Political biography has long been a popular genre that reaches a broad audience, often tied to the story of the modern nation-state. Traditionally, it highlights the lives of influential men serving their countries, but can this perspective be expanded beyond national boundaries?
Living Political Biography challenges conventional approaches by exploring new ways to study political lives through transnational and sociological lenses.
Living Political Biography reexamines biography as both a historical and narrative form. It delves into the fresh analytical opportunities that political biographical research offers, especially in light of recent shifts toward transnational and sociological perspectives within international and European political history.
The book aims to foster dialogue between scholars focused on biographical studies and those researching 20th-century European political history, bridging gaps and encouraging new insights.
