Exploring the power of co-creation in shaping Danish architectural innovation.

Co-creating Architecture delves into the remarkable potential of collaborative design within Danish architecture. The series showcases design studios that have set new international standards by responding to societal and social issues with innovative and enduring architectural solutions.

The heart of these projects lies in co-creation-a process that opens up the creative journey to users, decision-makers, and experts from various fields. This inclusive approach fosters engagement, a sense of ownership, networking opportunities, and political influence, establishing a solid foundation for projects of any scale.

This particular book introduces NORD Architects, who channel their deep interest in social matters into a strategic co-creation practice. They believe this method not only sparks engagement and ownership but also strengthens networking and political leverage. By sharing architectural authorship while maintaining responsibility and influence, they unlock greater potential for effective change than traditional autonomous design processes.

Each volume in the Co-creating Architecture series is structured into three parts:

• An in-depth interview focusing on the architects' perspectives and use of co-creation as a tool.
• A catalogue showcasing completed and upcoming projects where co-creation plays a central role.
• An external essay offering insights into the design practice’s processes, solutions, and possibilities.
