The painting at the heart of the case is The Concert by Johannes Vermeer, one of thirteen masterpieces stolen from Boston’s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in 1990. With the unexpected help of a striking Danish computer hacker and professional thief, Gabriel uncovers a billion-dollar illicit deal involving a mysterious figure known only as the Collector-an energy executive with powerful connections in Russia.

This missing masterpiece is the key to a conspiracy that, if successful, could ignite a conflict with devastating global consequences. To stop it, Gabriel must orchestrate a bold heist of his own, with millions of lives hanging in the balance.
