Beskrivelse
Many Afghans have become refugees due to decades of conflict, with education and a better future as their driving hopes. This book captures the voices of young Afghans striving for change amid hardship.
A heartfelt collection of stories from Afghan children dreaming of rebuilding their country.
One out of every seven Afghans now lives outside their homeland as refugees, a direct result of fifty years of war and suffering. For many, the goal is to gain an education or earn enough to one day return and help restore Afghanistan.
This book is born from that very dream. The author, Ahmad Durani, arrived in Denmark as a child with the ambition to study and make a positive impact on his homeland.
After the war ended in August 2021, Durani chose to amplify the voices of orphaned boys and girls. Through their personal stories, they reveal the experiences, hopes, and dreams of a generation longing for a brighter future for Afghanistan.
