The Long Game

Beskrivelse

Adalyn Reyes has her life on a strict routine until a viral video shakes things up. Sent to a small town in North Carolina, she’s given the challenge of turning around a struggling youth soccer team, despite the chaos that comes with it.

A story about redemption, unexpected challenges, and the long road to success.

Adalyn Reyes has spent years sticking to a rigid daily schedule: wake up early, head to the Miami Flames FC offices, work hard to make an impact, then head home and do it all over again. But everything changes when a video of her clashing with the team’s mascot goes viral.

Instead of being fired, Adalyn’s father-the team owner-sends her to a tiny town in North Carolina. Her mission? To revive the struggling local soccer team, the Green Warriors, and redeem herself. However, her plans quickly fall apart when she discovers the players practice in tutus (not exactly practical), keep pet goats around (definitely messy), and are downright terrified of her (not helpful). Oh, and they’re just nine years old.

Adding to the chaos is Cameron Caldani, a talented young goalkeeper whose presence in town is a bit of a mystery. Though he’s the perfect ally for Adalyn, their first meeting is a disaster involving a rooster, a hurt leg, and a dented bumper. Now, Cam wants her out of town as much as anyone.

But Adalyn isn’t going anywhere. Helping this scrappy kids’ team is her shot at redemption, and she’s committed to playing the long game-with or without Cam’s support.
