Black Klansman

Beskrivelse

Black Klansman tells the gripping true story of Ron Stallworth, the first black detective in Colorado Springs, who boldly goes undercover to infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan. This remarkable account reveals an intense investigation into one of America's most notorious hate groups during the late 1970s.

A daring undercover operation exposes the rise of the KKK through the eyes of a trailblazing black detective.

In 1978, Ron Stallworth spots a classified ad inviting those interested in joining the Ku Klux Klan to get in touch via a P.O. box. Expecting just some pamphlets, he soon finds himself answering a phone call that asks if he wants to join their cause. At a time when the KKK is gaining momentum under the leadership of Grand Wizard David Duke, Stallworth says yes, setting off one of the most audacious undercover missions ever.

To pull off this dangerous investigation, Ron enlists his partner Chuck to act as the "white" version of himself in face-to-face meetings, while Ron handles all phone conversations. Over several months, Stallworth disrupts cross burnings, uncovers white supremacists within the military, and even manages to fool David Duke personally.

Black Klansman reads like a thrilling crime story but is a powerful and searing portrait of a divided America. It highlights the courage of those who stand up against hate and injustice in extraordinary ways.
