A gripping tale of faith, temptation, and the struggle between darkness and love.

Cade Frederic, raised on the streets of Paris, has devoted his life to the church, yet beneath his holy exterior lurks a dangerous sickness that feeds on the damned. When assigned as the priest in Festivale, Vermont, he faces a town as beautiful as it is broken, where his dark urges demand he purge its evil.

Amaya Paquette is Festivale’s enigmatic beauty, juggling the responsibilities of caring for her younger brother while transforming into the alluring Esmeralda each night. Though she yearns for love, past pain makes her wary of getting close to anyone.

The moment Father Cade sees Amaya, he becomes obsessed, convinced she’s using witchcraft to ensnare him. His every thought is consumed by her-he can neither eat, breathe, nor think without her presence. Temptation becomes his greatest weakness, and he vows to destroy the one woman he might ever truly love, even if it means killing her.
