Determined to stop the angelic yet deadly rider, Sara shoots Pestilence from his steed, only to discover that he cannot be killed. Captured and furious, Pestilence takes Sara prisoner, intent on making her pay for interfering with his mission to wipe out humankind.

Despite her desperate pleas, Pestilence remains relentless. But as they spend more time together, the horseman begins to see Sara’s courage and compassion, gaining a new understanding of humanity. Meanwhile, Sara’s feelings grow more complicated as she journeys alongside the bringer of plague.
