Hidden away on a narrow street in Tokyo, the Torunka Cafe is a small sanctuary where locals and visitors alike-sometimes even neighborhood cats-gather. Among its regulars are Chinatsu Yukimura, a mysterious young woman known for leaving behind ballerina-shaped napkins; Hiroyuki Yumata, a middle-aged man returning to the area in search of the happiness he once abandoned; and Shizuku, the cafe owner's teenage daughter, who is navigating the pain of her sister’s death while experiencing first love.
While the cafe serves up excellent coffee, it offers much more-a place for these varied souls to find lasting comfort and nourishment. Satoshi Yagisawa beautifully captures those moments in life when we feel adrift and shows how we can find our path forward again.
