Beskrivelse

Get ready for a charming STEMinist romcom where rival physicists clash amidst academic rivalries and fake dating antics. Elsie Hannaway juggles her life as an adjunct professor and a professional fake girlfriend, but everything changes when she crosses paths with a familiar adversary.

A witty and heartfelt story of love, rivalry, and finding yourself in the world of physics.

Elsie Hannaway has been living a double life. By day, she’s an adjunct professor, grading labs and teaching thermodynamics while chasing her dream of securing tenure. By night, she uses her finely tuned people-pleasing talents to work as a fake girlfriend, stepping into whatever role her clients need to fill.

Her unconventional side hustle is going smoothly until her carefully balanced world is upended by Jack Smith. He’s not only the older brother of her favorite client but also the arrogant, good-looking experimental physicist responsible for ruining Elsie’s mentor’s career and damaging the reputation of theorists everywhere.

Jack now heads the physics department at MIT, standing directly between Elsie and the job she’s been striving for. Prepared for a fierce academic battle, Elsie finds herself unexpectedly drawn to him. Those intense looks and the comfort of being her authentic self around him challenge everything she thought she knew about love.

Will Elsie dare to test her own guarded theories on love by stepping into the orbit of an experimentalist?
