Street Photography captures the unique connection between people and urban environments through the lens of Chresten Kruchov. This collection reveals moments from vibrant cities across Europe during the late 1960s and early 1970s.
A visual journey through city life, exploring human interactions within urban spaces.
For as long as I can remember, wandering the streets with my camera has been a passion. I'm endlessly intrigued by how people relate to their surroundings and to one another within the cityscape. My aim has always been to tell the story of a place by capturing life as it unfolds in the moment.
The photographs featured in this book are snapshots of life as I witnessed it-from Paris in July 1968, Copenhagen in August 1969, to Prague in October 1971. These images were tucked away in my archive for many years, but now I feel it's time to bring them into the spotlight.
In recent years, I've exhibited these works at my photo gallery, Vognporten in Rudkøbing, and during the "Art in the City" events at Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen between 2012 and 2016, where they received a warm reception. This book is the next step in sharing these stories with a wider audience.
