Sunrise On The Reaping

Beskrivelse

Set against the backdrop of the fiftieth Hunger Games, this story follows Haymitch Abernathy as he faces overwhelming odds. With twice the usual number of tributes taken, fear spreads through Panem’s districts, especially in District 12 where Haymitch struggles to hold on to hope and love.

Haymitch’s fight for survival begins amidst the chaos of the Quarter Quell.

When the Quarter Quell doubles the number of tributes, the districts of Panem are gripped by fear. In District 12, Haymitch Abernathy tries to keep his focus on what matters most-making it through the day and staying close to the girl he loves.

But when his name is called, everything changes. His dreams shatter as he’s ripped away from his family and love, forced to travel to the Capitol alongside three other tributes from his district:

• a close friend who feels like a sister,
• a compulsive oddsmaker, and
• the most arrogant girl in town.

As the deadly Games unfold, Haymitch realizes he’s been set up to lose. Yet, deep inside, a fierce determination stirs-a will to fight back and make his struggle echo far beyond the arena’s deadly confines.
