A candid and funny look at life, love, and acting through the eyes of Lauren Graham.

In Talking As Fast As I Can, Lauren Graham takes a moment to pause and look back on her journey. Through laugh-out-loud stories, she recalls growing up, breaking into acting, and later wondering if she had truly made it while sitting in her trailer on the Parenthood set.

She opens up about the ups and downs of being single in Hollywood, sharing anecdotes like how strangers grew concerned during her long single stretch. Lauren also reveals quirky moments such as being asked to audition her butt for a role and her experience as a judge on Project Runway, describing it as a "fashion-induced blackout."

The book includes two special essays where Lauren dives into her iconic role as Lorelai Gilmore. In "What It Was Like, Part One," she reflects on being cast as the fast-talking character, and in "What It Was Like, Part Two," she discusses returning to the role nine years later and what it has meant to her.

Readers will also discover fun tidbits about Lauren's life, like her attempt to go vegan to connect with Ellen DeGeneres, the challenges of meeting guys at awards shows, and her enthusiasm for shopping at REI.

Filled with photos and diary excerpts from the filming of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, this book feels like a cozy night spent catching up with a close friend-full of laughter, stories, and, naturally, talking as fast as you can.
