The Family Remains

Beskrivelse

A bag of human bones is found on the banks of the Thames, sparking a chilling investigation. DCI Samuel Owusu uncovers a decades-old mystery linked to a tragic event in a Chelsea mansion and a family with secrets that refuse to stay hidden.

A gripping mystery that unravels a family's dark past and long-buried secrets.

In early June 2019, on the foreshore of the River Thames in London, a bag containing human bones is discovered. DCI Samuel Owusu is called to the scene and promptly sends the remains for forensic analysis. The bones belong to a young woman who suffered a fatal blow to the head many years ago.

Alongside the bones, a trail of clues emerges-most notably seeds from a rare tree. These seeds lead DCI Owusu to a mansion in Chelsea, where nearly thirty years earlier, three people were found dead in a kitchen while a baby waited upstairs, hoping for someone to come and collect her.

The investigation doesn’t only look back; it also connects to a brother and sister in Chicago who are searching for the one person who can help them understand their pasts. Four deaths. One unsolved mystery. And a family whose secrets refuse to stay buried forever.
