The Frozen People

Beskrivelse

Ali Dawson is a police officer with a remarkable ability to travel through time, tackling cold cases that span centuries. When she’s sent back to Victorian London, she must navigate danger and mystery to clear a family name.

A thrilling blend of time travel and crime-solving set against the backdrop of the Victorian era.

In this exciting new series from the bestselling author of the Dr. Ruth Galloway Mysteries, Ali Dawson works on cases so old they’re literally frozen in time. What sets her apart is a unique gift: the power to travel back in time to gather crucial evidence.

This time-travel technique was developed by the enigmatic Italian physicist Serafina Pelligrini, known simply as Jones. Until now, the team has only traveled a few years into the past, but Ali’s latest mission takes her much further back-to 1850, in the heart of the Victorian Age.

Her task is to clear the name of Cain Templeton, the eccentric great-grandfather of Tory MP Isaac Templeton. As Ali digs into the era, she uncovers dark secrets about Cain’s involvement with a sinister group called The Collectors, rumored to require the murder of a woman for membership.

To prepare, Ali studies Victorian fashion, customs, and social habits. Arriving in London during a harsh mini ice age, she finds herself in an artist’s house with a dead woman at her feet. Danger looms, and to make matters worse, Ali becomes trapped in the past, unable to return to her son, Finn, in the present.
