The Stone Circle

Beskrivelse

DCI Nelson is unsettled by mysterious letters urging him to visit the stone circle and save an innocent buried there. At the same time, Ruth is involved in an archaeological dig at the Saltmarsh stone circle, where a chilling discovery is made.

A gripping mystery intertwining past secrets and present dangers at an ancient stone circle.

Nelson finds himself disturbed by anonymous letters demanding he 'go to the stone circle and rescue the innocent who is buried there.' These messages hit close to home, especially with Michelle’s baby on the way, and the letters strangely echo those that first pulled him into the case of The Crossing Places and introduced him to Ruth.

Meanwhile, Ruth is focused on an excavation at the Saltmarsh, another henge known to archaeologists as the stone circle. She tries to keep her mind off the baby while working, but the discovery of bones on the site changes everything.

The remains are identified as Margaret Lacey, a twelve-year-old girl who vanished three decades ago. As the past reaches out to both Ruth and Nelson, they find themselves caught in a deadly grip that refuses to let go.
