A multidisciplinary look at the Hammerum burial site in Denmark.
Located near the small town of Hammerum, about 5 km east of Herning in central Jutland, Denmark, this burial site was first investigated by a museum in 1993. Within a compact area, seven inhumation graves were discovered, though most were found to be devoid of artifacts.
However, three graves contained remarkably well-preserved organic materials. These graves were carefully removed as block samples, packed in large wooden crates, with plans for detailed excavation at a later stage.
