Time Of Death

Beskrivelse

DI Tom Thorne is back in a gripping thriller that will keep you hooked until the very end. In Time of Death, Mark Billingham delivers a tense, atmospheric mystery set in a small town filled with dark secrets.

A gripping story of abduction, suspicion, and buried truths in a fading community.

The story unfolds in Polesford, a struggling Warwickshire town where two schoolgirls vanish without a trace. This tragedy strikes at the heart of the community, especially for police officer Helen Weeks, who grew up here and once escaped its confines. But beneath the surface, Polesford is a place hiding dangerous secrets.

When family man Stephen Bates is arrested and the news spreads like wildfire, Helen and her partner Tom Thorne rush to the flooded town. They come to support Bates' wife, an old school friend of Helen’s, who is under immense pressure while caring for their two teenage children and firmly believes in her husband's innocence.

As the media and locals demand justice, a decomposed body is discovered, and the police think they've caught the killer. However, one man isn’t convinced. With one girl still missing, Thorne finds himself clashing with the local police, wary townsfolk, and a relentless murderer determined to keep the truth hidden.
