After a brutal hit during last year's Frozen Four left him with a concussion, he's haunted by panic attacks and nightmares every time he tries to get back on the ice. The once confident hockey captain wonders if he'll ever play or even want to again.

Meanwhile, Sadie Brown is laser-focused on surviving this semester. Juggling mounting debt, custody battles for her younger brothers, and intense skating practices, she’s determined to keep pushing forward. Known for her fierce attitude and tendency to disappear, Sadie’s reputation on campus isn’t exactly glowing.

When Sadie accidentally witnesses Rhys having a panic attack and steps in to help, an unusual bond forms between them-no questions, just comfort. Rhys feels empty, a shadow of his former self, while Sadie’s emotions explode at full force.
