A Man Called Ove

Beskrivelse

A Man Called Ove is a heartwarming and humorous story about a grumpy man whose life takes unexpected turns. This bestselling novel, now adapted into a major film featuring Tom Hanks, offers a touching exploration of love and community.

A charming tale about a curmudgeonly man whose firm beliefs and daily routines reveal a deeper, irresistible character.

Ove might just be the grumpiest person you'll ever encounter. He sees the world around him filled with incompetence-from neighbours who can’t properly reverse a trailer to joggers and shop assistants who speak in ways he finds baffling. He’s also still smarting from being ousted as Chairman of the Residents' Association in what he calls a vicious coup d'etat.

Despite his gruff exterior, Ove is dedicated to his daily inspections of the local streets, driven by a rare and old-fashioned clarity about how things should be. His steadfast convictions and commitment to making the world right in his own way set him apart.

As the story unfolds, you’ll discover there’s something undeniably captivating about Ove that goes beyond his grumpiness, making this uplifting novel a memorable read.
