The Ministry Of Time

Beskrivelse

A gripping tale where time travel blurs the lines between past and future, love and duty. A civil servant and a historical figure find themselves entwined in a mysterious government project that challenges everything they know.

A captivating story of time, history, and unexpected connections.

Set in the near future, a disillusioned civil servant takes on a unique role in a secretive government ministry that collects 'expats' from various points in history to push the boundaries of time travel. Her job is to act as a 'bridge', living with, supporting, and keeping an eye on an expat known as '1847,' Commander Graham Gore.

Commander Gore, believed dead during Sir John Franklin’s ill-fated Arctic expedition, suddenly finds himself alive in a world filled with baffling modern inventions like washing machines and Spotify, as well as the reality of the British Empire’s decline. Despite his confusion, his curiosity and seven-a-day cigarette habit help him adapt.

Over the course of a long, hot summer, the relationship between Gore and his bridge evolves from initial awkwardness to genuine friendship-and eventually something deeper. But as the true purpose behind the project unfolds, both must face their past decisions and the futures they once imagined.

Can love overcome the weight of history and the forces that shape them? And how do you resist history when it’s living right under your roof?
