This map offers a detailed look at two key regions of Africa: East Africa and Central Africa. It highlights major countries and their surroundings, providing a broad view of the area's diverse geography and cultures.

One side of the map zooms in on the five countries commonly referred to as East Africa: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi, including parts of nearby nations. The reverse side features what is traditionally known as Central Africa, a term linked to its history as British Central Africa. This includes Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi, along with northern Mozambique, the Okavango Delta, and a section of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The map covers a vast area of the African continent, reflecting a rich mix of ethnic groups and diverse landscapes. Efforts have been made to classify roads based on their condition, though the reality is that some main roads may be in poor shape. Additionally, some secondary roads might appear less developed than they actually are, as reliable data for Africa can be challenging to confirm.

This is the first map of this region created using GIS data, making it far more precise than previous versions. While Africa remains a "work in progress," this map opens up the continent for exploration by travelers. The scale used is 1:3,400,000.
