Beskrivelse
This folded map covers the Pacific coastline from the Seattle area up to Alaska’s Glacier Bay National Park, including both Canadian and American sections. It highlights key ferry and cruise ship routes, along with detailed coastal geography.
A comprehensive coastal map showcasing the Canadian and Alaskan Pacific shores, ideal for cruisers and travelers alike.
This map’s first side focuses on the Canadian coast, stretching from Victoria up to the Queen Charlotte/Haida Gwaii islands. It features ferry routes and the most popular cruise ship paths, while offering a clear view of the Coastal mountain range. The inland area is minimal, keeping the emphasis on the coastline itself.
The second side zooms in on Alaska’s Panhandle, a cluster of islands north and west of Canada that attracts many cruise visitors. This section provides a detailed look at the area, including all parks and cruise line routes.
One fascinating detail is found at the northern tip of Glacier Bay, where the Canadian border divides the Panhandle from the rest of Alaska. This unusual boundary was set in the early 1900s, before the glacier there began to melt. Now, a kilometer-long beach that belongs to Canada has emerged where ice once stood.
Completing ITMB’s extensive mapping project, this map covers the Pacific coastline of North America from the Bering Sea all the way down to Panama. An inset map of Vancouver is also included for additional reference.
