Beskrivelse

Dune is a groundbreaking sci-fi epic that explores power, survival, and destiny on a harsh desert planet. It follows Paul Atreides as he fights to reclaim his family’s control over the universe’s most prized resource.

A legendary tale of political intrigue and rebellion centered on the desert world Arrakis and its invaluable spice.

Long before iconic sci-fi like The Matrix and Star Wars, Dune earned its place as a classic, winning both the Hugo and Nebula awards. The story revolves around melange, known as 'spice', a rare and precious substance that extends life and enables interstellar travel. This spice exists only on Arrakis, a forbidding desert planet. Control of Arrakis means control of the spice, and thus, control of the universe.

When the Emperor shifts power from House Harkonnen to House Atreides, conflict erupts. The Harkonnens retaliate by assassinating Duke Leto Atreides, forcing his son Paul and concubine Lady Jessica to escape into the desert. Near death, they are saved by the Fremen, Arrakis’ native inhabitants, who command the desert’s second great treasure: the colossal sandworms beneath the dunes.

To avenge his father and reclaim Arrakis from the Harkonnens, Paul must gain the Fremen’s trust and lead a small but determined force against overwhelming enemies. His path will not only alter his fate but also reshape the entire universe.
