In a rare move, Dior allowed a remarkable selection of priceless garments to be transported from its Paris vaults to New York, creating an extraordinary visual narrative.

The images are electrifying. Amid the bustling cityscape, Alek Wek shines in the pristine 1947 Bar suit, the iconic ensemble that marked the birth of the House of Dior. Models like Saskia de Brauw, Karen Elson, and Amber Valletta weave through the urban crowd and scaffolding, their reflections caught in glass facades, all while adorned in exquisite haute couture-from Christian Dior’s original hand-stitched creations to the latest designs by Maria Grazia Chiuri.

Lindbergh’s signature use of monochrome and color photography beautifully emphasizes the fine details, shapes, and textures of each piece. His presence is felt throughout the book, which was designed by his longtime collaborator and friend, Juan Gatti.

This volume includes 165 never-before-seen images from the shoot, along with an introduction by Martin Harrison.
