A magical journey of a young man, a flying trunk, and enchanting tales that lead to unexpected outcomes.

This well-known fairy tale follows the son of a wealthy merchant who has spent nearly all the money he inherited. When a former friend gives him a trunk, he discovers it has the power to fly. Using this magical trunk, he travels to the land of the Turks and settles in a forest nearby.

Upon learning about a beautiful princess in the city, who is off-limits to everyone, he decides to visit her. Being a gifted storyteller, he charms both the princess and her parents with his captivating tales.

However, like many of Andersen’s stories, the ending is bittersweet: the flying trunk burns down, and the merchant's son is unable to reunite with his bride.
