The Judge's List

Beskrivelse

A gripping thriller from John Grisham, featuring investigator Lacy Stoltz as she hunts down a serial killer hiding in plain sight. This time, the suspect is closer than ever-a judge operating under her jurisdiction in Florida.

An intense pursuit of a cunning serial killer who uses his knowledge of the law to stay one step ahead.

In this suspense-filled novel, Lacy Stoltz, who previously exposed a corrupt judge involved in a massive bribery scheme, is once again drawn into a deadly investigation. After surviving a brutal attack, she’s grown weary of her role with the Florida Board on Judicial Conduct and is considering a change.

Everything shifts when she meets Jeri Crosby, a woman living in fear and hiding behind multiple aliases. Jeri’s father was murdered two decades ago in a case that has long gone cold. Obsessed with a suspect she has stalked for years, Jeri uncovers a chilling pattern of other victims linked to the same man.

This suspect is no ordinary criminal. He’s brilliant, methodical, and always ahead of law enforcement. Most disturbingly, he’s a judge within Lacy’s jurisdiction, wielding his legal expertise to cover his tracks. He keeps a list-names of victims and future targets who have crossed him in some way.

Now, Lacy must navigate this dangerous game carefully, pursuing the killer without becoming the next name on his list. The Judge’s List is John Grisham’s most thrilling and chilling novel to date, packed with nonstop suspense and unexpected twists.
