After overthrowing Mr. Jones, the animals envision a future where everyone is equal and free. But as time passes, a clever and ruthless group, led by the pigs Napoleon and Snowball, begins to seize control.
The other animals soon realize that equality is an illusion, as this new leadership imposes its own harsh rule. What started as a hopeful rebellion ends with the animals trapped under a different kind of tyranny.
