This thrilling story is inspired by Jules Verne's classic, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, and follows Ana Dakkar as she embarks on a challenging journey at a prestigious marine academy.

A thrilling undersea adventure filled with mystery, rivalry, and self-discovery.

Ana Dakkar is starting her freshman year at Harding-Pencroft Academy, a unique five-year high school known for producing the world’s top marine scientists, naval warriors, navigators, and underwater explorers. Since losing her parents during a scientific expedition two years ago, Ana’s only family is her older brother, Dev, who is also a student at the academy.

The year’s highlight is a secret weekend trial at sea, testing everything Ana has learned. But before the challenge even begins, a tragic event on the bus to the ship shakes Ana and her classmates to their core, setting their lives on a new course.

Adding to the tension, a professor reveals that Harding-Pencroft has been locked in a century-and-a-half cold war with their rival school, Land Institute. Now, that rivalry turns deadly, and the freshmen find themselves in grave danger.

In a desperate race against perilous foes, Ana discovers remarkable truths about her heritage and forms incredible friendships. This adventure pushes her leadership skills to the limit, all while Rick Riordan’s signature humor, fast-paced action, and vibrant characters bring the underwater world vividly to life.
