The Blood Of Olympus

Beskrivelse

The Blood of Olympus is the thrilling fifth installment in the Heroes of Olympus series, continuing the adventures in Percy Jackson’s electrifying world. The Greek and Roman heroes aboard the Argo II face their toughest challenge yet as Gaea’s giants grow stronger and more dangerous.

Demigods must unite to stop Gaea’s awakening by preventing a deadly sacrifice and an impending war.

The heroes have made strides in their quests, but defeating the earth mother Gaea remains out of reach. All of her giants have risen, more powerful than ever before, and they must be stopped before the Feast of Spes. Gaea’s plan involves sacrificing two demigods in Athens to harness the blood of Olympus and awaken her full power.

Meanwhile, the demigods are haunted by visions of a fierce battle at Camp Half-Blood. The Roman legion from Camp Jupiter, led by Octavian, is closing in fast. Although it’s tempting to take the Athena Parthenos statue to Athens as a secret weapon, the friends know it belongs on Long Island. There, it might prevent a war between the two camps.

With the Athena Parthenos heading west and the Argo II sailing east, the gods remain unreliable, distracted by their own conflicts. Against all odds, a small group of young demigods must stand strong against Gaea’s army of giants. The journey to Athens is perilous, but they have no choice-they’ve already sacrificed too much. If Gaea awakens, everything is lost.
