We’re excited to present the inaugural travel map of Guam, a rare offering from a major cartographic publisher. Guam is a north-south island located well north of New Guinea and is part of the American Northern Marianas group. Its capital city is Hagatna, with Tamuning as the main town. The island features a well-equipped international airport centrally located, complemented by a large U.S. military airbase in the northeast.

Most of Guam is geared towards tourism and offers plenty to explore. The island was first encountered by Ferdinand Magellan in 1521, and Hagatna holds the distinction of being the oldest European-founded city in the Pacific, dating back to 1686. The town of Inarajan still showcases a distinctly Spanish character today.

Key attractions on Guam include Tumon Beach with its numerous resorts, the Piti Underwater Observatory, and the renowned Cocos Island dive wall. On the flip side, the map features the Western Pacific Cruising area, covering several island groups and stretching from Australia in the south to Japan in the north, and reaching eastward to Hawaii and the Cook Islands.

This extensive cruising map includes popular destinations such as Fiji, Tonga, New Caledonia, the Solomon Islands, Papua, Samoa, Kiribati, and the Marshall Islands, making it an excellent decorative and practical wall map. The scale for Guam is 1:55,000, while the Western Pacific map is set at 1:12,000,000.
