Indonesia's hundreds of islands are spread out so widely that a double-sided map is necessary to display significant detail. The first side focuses on the western half, featuring Sumatra in the upper left corner, along with Java and most of Borneo (known locally as Kalimantan Province). This side also includes large inset maps of central Jakarta, Sumatra, Java, and Borneo for enhanced detail.

In the lower right area of this side, you’ll find the islands of Bali, Lombok, and Sumbawa. The map also covers most of Malaysia and all of Singapore due to their proximity. Notably, the volcanic island of Krakatoa is shown just west of Java.

The second side highlights the less-traveled but fascinating eastern islands such as Sulawesi, Flores, West Irian (New Guinea), and Timor. It also features Komodo National Park, famous for the fearsome Komodo Dragons.

Ferry routes connecting the islands are marked, reflecting their general reliability, though schedules can be affected by weather. While this map offers a detailed view at a scale of 1:2,400,000, Indonesia’s vast size means that additional sectional maps are available to provide closer looks at popular tourist areas.
