The Dark Prophecy

Beskrivelse

In this thrilling follow-up in Rick Riordan's Trials of Apollo series, the fallen god Apollo faces his second daunting challenge while trapped in a teenage boy's body. His journey takes him deep into the American Midwest, where danger and mystery await.

A perilous quest to restore ancient oracles and reclaim divine status.

Apollo, stripped of his godly powers and stuck as an awkward mortal teenager, embarks on the next leg of his perilous-and often hilarious-adventure. Together with his loyal companions, he must find and restore the ancient oracles, the only path back to his rightful place on Mount Olympus.

But the mission is far from easy. Somewhere in the haunted caves of the American Midwest lie secrets that could either help Apollo regain his godhood or destroy him completely. Adding to the danger is a ruthless Roman emperor, a member of the sinister Triumvirate, whose brutal love for violence makes even Nero seem mild.

To stand a chance against this terrifying foe, Apollo will need the aid of a mortal goddess, a bronze dragon, and some familiar faces from Camp Half-Blood. With their support, can Apollo overcome the biggest threat he’s faced in four thousand years?
