The Lantern Men

Beskrivelse

Dr Ruth Galloway's life has taken a turn with a new job, home, and partner, stepping away from her role as North Norfolk police's forensic archaeologist. But when convicted killer Ivor March offers a chilling deal, Ruth is drawn back into a dangerous investigation.

A tense new case pulls Ruth back into the world of forensic archaeology and dark secrets.

Dr Ruth Galloway has settled into a fresh chapter of her life, leaving behind her position with North Norfolk police. However, everything shifts when Ivor March, a convicted murderer, approaches DCI Nelson with an unsettling proposal. Nelson has long suspected March was responsible for more victims than he was charged with, and now March confirms this.

March offers to reveal the locations of additional bodies, but only if Ruth is the one to do the digging. Intrigued yet cautious, Ruth agrees to investigate. March claims he killed four more women, and their remains lie near a village on the edge of the fens-an area rumored to be haunted by the Lantern Men, ghostly figures carrying lights that lead travelers to their doom.

Is Ivor March playing the role of a lantern man himself, drawing Ruth back into Norfolk for his own purposes? What does he hope to achieve, and why does Ruth hold such importance in his plan? Most importantly, have the murders truly come to an end?
