Beskrivelse

Travis Hale, the police chief of Pelion, Maine, is trying to move past his troubled history and embrace a future full of possibilities. When a newcomer arrives in town, Travis's world starts to shift, especially after meeting the newcomer's quirky sister, Haven Torres.

A story about unexpected connections and second chances in a small town.

From the bestselling author Mia Sheridan, this emotional follow-up to ARCHER'S VOICE delves into the life of Travis Hale, Archer's brother. Despite a past filled with regrets, Travis is now respected in his role as police chief, admired by the women in town, and mostly forgiven by his family.

But everything changes when a new resident steps into Pelion, stirring trouble and drawing Travis's attention. Haven Torres, the new arrival’s sister, has had her life shattered by fire. What started as a spontaneous summer road trip across the country with her brother quickly becomes a quest to catch the eye of Pelion’s most eligible bachelor, Gage Buchanan.

After Travis informs Haven about her brother's scandalous behavior, she realizes Pelion might not be the place to stay long. Despite this, an unlikely friendship forms between Haven and Travis. Initially, their deal seems straightforward: Haven will help Travis rattle her brother, and Travis will assist her in winning over Gage.

But as they spend more time together, Haven begins to see the man beneath Travis's tough exterior, and Travis discovers the woman behind Haven's chaotic life. Still, Haven is determined not to be tied down to Pelion, and Travis is committed to never settling for less again. What starts off simple soon becomes beautifully complicated.
