Vibeke Rohland is a textile artist and designer known for creating both one-of-a-kind pieces and collaborative industrial designs with notable brands like Marimekko, Kvadrat, adidas + Kvadrat, HAY, Georg Jensen, and FDB Møbler. Her work bridges the gap between art and design in innovative ways.

Counterprint etcetera showcases Vibeke Rohland’s artistic practice within a modern and interdisciplinary framework, drawing inspiration from Minimal Art, Conceptual Art, punk, and pop culture. This book presents a comprehensive view of her work, spanning from artistic endeavors to commercial collaborations.

Authored by Vibeke P. Gether, a Senior Researcher and MA in art history from the University of Copenhagen, the book benefits from her extensive experience in the art world. Between 1990 and 2005, Gether held key roles such as Chief Curator at SMK, the National Gallery of Denmark’s Painting and Sculpture Collection, and exhibition director at the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design in Oslo.

Vibeke P. Gether is also known for her works GAaA, Gunnar Aagaard Andersen (Strandberg Publishing, 2016) and Boris Berlin Dialogues on Form (Arnoldsche Art Publishers, 2025), both created in collaboration with graphic designer Rasmus Koch. She has curated several significant exhibitions, including Danish contributions to the Sao Paulo Biennale (featuring Albert Mertz in 1990 and Claus Carstensen in 1993), Aagaard Andersen in use (with visual artist Jørgen Michaelsen at Den Frie’s Exhibition Building, 2013), and COOL MODERNE, Art Deco in Danish Visual Arts 1910-40 (with visual artist Nils Erik Gjerdevik at Gl. Holtegaard, 2015-2016).

In addition to her curatorial work, Gether served as an External Lecturer at the University of Copenhagen from 1997 to 2004, teaching Museology, Cultural Theory, and American art from the 1950s to the 1990s.
